New work ~ ASTA Sports website
Recently launched is the new website for the Australian Sports Training Association, an organisation set up by Rachel Light to “help children in Australia to play sport and enhance those who have a keen interest to develop further”. Rachel describes part of the ethos behind the Association:
“Sport is an excellent way children can learn, grow and achieve. By running more programs in the community and schools we can encourage children to take up sport and be more physically active. We are using professionals in sport to provide the best training available and often ask athletes to get involved with spot coaching and motivational talks.”
The site uses a bespoke WordPress theme, and a community-focussed user area powered by the BuddyPress plugin. This enables ASTA to communicate effectively with its members, and also offer remote training via video casts in sports-specific areas within the site.
